Our second day (Sunday)
We made it through the first night with only one big thunder storm!! Always seems to rain sooner or later.
Turned out to be a pretty bad morning. Breakfast was a disaster. Went to make biscuits and gravy. Got the biscuits cooking and the sausage cooking and remembered what I forgot...... flour! yea! So Jeff had biscuits and sausage. The girls wanted pancakes, so I got everything going for that (i had a box of pancake mix). Got the griddle hot and batter on and apparently put to many pancakes on there and they all ran together, which made for one heck of a time to flip the stupid things. They looked really strange. And I burnt the stupid biscuits! No one was aloud to take any pictures of any breakfast items.
Wow! what a morning! So glad to get back on the road.
But we got on the road and headed to our Branson destination. and it rained all the way there!
On the way we went through this town called Blue Eye, Arkansas. Population 38.

Madi, Markie and dinner at the Whopper Stomper!!!
and Whopper Stomper IS the name of the place, an all you can eat shrimp, crab legs and lobster and yes, this is what the lobster looks like.
Our waiter, Ivan, demonstrate how to peel a lobster!!
Madi picked up a bow and arrow at the Onxy cave and has been practicing on how to use it.
She has mastered it!
As I was trying to get things to download and off in my own little world, I hear a wwssp by my head and looked over and that $@*^ arrow is stuck right by my head. She missed it by not even an inch......
and she says "Look, I'm getting better!"
The bow and arrow have been retired for the night!! :-)

Onxy Caves and train ride

We did go downtown and ride the train and hit the stores.
The train stopped half way and let the kids put coins on the tracks so the train could run over them....... Madi now has 5 flat pennies and i do have alot of pictures of those as well, she wasn't happy until i got a picture she liked.
She loved the train ride though!! She smiled and giggled all the way through it. All i have to say is they need air conditioning on that Train!!

Markie and Madi inside the Onxy cave. We learned as we're entering the caves that Madi is afraid of small dark spaces. Mainly caves and completely FREAKED out on us. almost had to carry her through! She came around a little and was able to smile for a picture or two.
This is the dragon inside the cave.

I have taken 145 pictures today....So here are just a few!!
And so today is finally at an end!! and I can finally go to bed! We're on our way to Branson tomorrow!! So maybe not so may pictures, but probably a funny story or two!!

Eureka!!

We here for our first stop! So far so good...... or we thought
Everything has been going good, until Jeff went to level us up!!
For some reasons jacks wouldn't come down, but after about an hour Jeff got them working great!! And Markie supervised.
Me and Madi decided to have us a little lunch of ham sandwiches and chips.

After all is fixed, we're ready to hit the town of Eureka Springs!!

Better make sure we know where we are going. I was a little worried when I realized he was reading the wrong side of the map!! No worries though, we found our way back with only 3 trips around old downtown!

There is a very funny blonde moment behind this picture!!

On our way to Onxy Cave, which happens to be in the middle of absolute no where. I see a plane fall out of the sky. I swear to you it made a nose dive to the ground! Okay, my heart just about stops, and i yell at Jeff "Did you see that plane? I think it crashed!" As I look over at Jeff, he is smiling pretty good. Then i see all the people gathered in an empty field.......

Wanna guess what these people were doing????

Flying remote controlled planes!!!

4 hours of sleep will play tricks on the old mind!!

But here are some real plans. This was an hour and half tour to see these planes and to go through a little bitty room. We opted out of the tour and went on to the caves

So the day begins...... I think the only one ready for this morning was Madi.
With only 4 1/2 hours of sleep Jeff begins the drive.
I tried to take a nap on the way, but Jeff just wouldn't let me.
I even put on my sunglass's and had my book like i was reading.. but i didn't get away with it.

About 5 minutes into the drive Markie was fast asleep with the dog right next to her.
And since she was asleep, we had no trouble out of her what so ever.

She didn't give me much to write here. But she will...

Boy, does he look tired!! :-(

However, Madi was awake for the whole drive!!! :-(

That is another reason i didn't get my nap. She talked the entire time and bounced for front to back of the RV.

I did get a picture of us together..... I swear I didn't do anything to scare her!! Must be Jeff's driving!!

And the packing begins! Most of those are Madi's, and she has 10 dress' in the closet!

Never know what we might need.
Between us girls, not much room for Jeff. Good thing he doesn't require more than one or two pair of shoes.

Madi and her pals ready for the road.

Madi's pals !! Hope they behave, may have to put them out on the way if they don't!! They do look a little mischeavous!! :-)

Swimming at Grandma's House

A Day at grandma's house.

This of course is what happens when you swim all day long!!! Madi had the biggest time at grandma's but came home a little sunburned. I took the picture of the both of us so you can see how burned she really is. We made her stay out of the pool for a couple of days (yes, I was the awful parent for this too)....... She would not let me forget that she wanted to go swimming.

Times like that reminds you that kids really have no concept of time!!

She was very happy to finally get back to swimming. She loves going off the diving board!!

She has turned into a fish! She can swim pretty darn good

She was up to something here,,,, think she was trying to surprise her Dad! He played along nicely!!

this is another favorite of mine. She was having so much fun throughing that ugly thing into the pool and then diving for it. (now I see why her eyes were soooo red the other day)!!

She really is a big ham!! I can't get Markie to sit still for one picture but Madi always has a grin for me.
